If you are a superhero movie fan than 2018 will be a fun year for you. The stories continue followed by the euphoria that they bring. We all have our favorites, we all got disappointed and we all got surprised by some of them. But we all know that we can’t wait for the next sequel.
These last few years were great years for the “nerds” everywhere. Don’t get offended, I consider this word to be a compliment. We’ve got “Deadpool” that blew everybody’s mind, we’ve got “Wonder Woman” that brought back our faith in DC, we finally got a decent “Spiderman”, but we also got disappointments like “Batman vs Superman” and “Suicide Squad”.
Also there are those few movies that have the audience divided, like “Justice League”, “Thor-Ragnarok”, “Ant-Man” and “Guardian of the Galaxy vol.2”. We won’t offer arguments as to why these movies were bad or why they were good. We will leave that up to you. This is a post for the upcoming movies, whether you anticipate them or not.
The first movie to come out is “Black Panther”.
The Black Panther is a part of the Avengers and we saw him for the first time in “Captain America – The Winter Soldier”. This time he is battling for the throne as a rightful hair after his father’s death.
And we will see him again in “Infinity War” fighting alongside all the other avengers against the mighty Thanos. We wouldn’t like to get your hopes up, but it seems like it will be a great movie.
“Avengers – Infinity war” is next.
This does put a smile on my face. The one that we have been waiting for years. The grand finale. Although it won’t be a final movie, it kind of feels like we have been preparing for the last few years just for this movie. We will see all our favorite characters doing what they know best, and the Hulk will smash (hopefully a lot).
Judging by it’s directors, the ones that directed “Captain America – The Winter Soldier” and “Captain America – Civil War”, both major hits, this too should also be a great movie. If it’s a disaster I won’t be watching Marvel anymore. Nah, just kidding, I will never be able to.
The batman
Although there isn’t a confirmed date Batman is always the most anticipated movie. The Dark Knight made us all fall in love with this character, but it also raised the bar so high that no superhero movie can match its greatness.
So this Batman that is scheduled to come out this year is also falling in that boat and there are good chances that it will be a disappointment. This remains to be seen. Hopefully it won’t be.
Untitled Deadpool Sequel
The biggest surprise of them all. Nobody would have expected that “Deadpool” will be such a hit, but to everybody’s enjoyment it was. And we are glad for it.
Will the sequel live up to its expectations remains to be seen, but we are sure it will be full of dirty jokes, swearing, killing and a lot of violence. What more can you ask for?
Ant-man and the wasp
If this movie is at least as good as the first one, I am becoming a life-time fan of Marvel. They’ve shown that telling a story is what they are good at, but we need a prove that the sequel won’t disappoint us, like some sequels of some superhero movies (we won’t trash talk about them now, this is a superhero-friendly post). Adding the Wasp to the mix it only gives us more reasons to anticipate this movie.
Last but not least, Aquaman
Aquaman is a great character and Jason Momoa did a hell of a job portraying him. He is badass, he is strong and he is fearless. That’s all from what we’ve seen in “Justice League”. Looking forward to getting to know him better.
It’s great to see solo movies of all the character so we will be able to know them better and anticipate their return in yet another movie.
